For the Geissens, a seller in Dubai proved to be extremely stubborn and didn't take no for an answer when they didn't want to pay his high price.
Dubai – When the Geissens are out and about, things can get turbulent.
But the fact that a shopping trip escalates as shown on “RTLZWEI” in the new episode of “The Geissens – a terribly glamorous family” on February 19th is Robert (60) and Carmen (58) Geiss and their daughters Shania ( 19) and Davina (20) probably hasn't happened yet.
Dubai, where the family was when the incident occurred, is actually considered a true shopping paradise, but apparently you can also experience a flop there.
“They really wanted to rip us off”: Shopping horror at the Geissens in Dubai
The Geissens, who own a luxury apartment in Dubai, originally wanted to go to the bazaar and buy spices for their kitchen.
But Carmen's first stop was a perfume shop.
Apparently not a good decision.
“They really wanted to rip us off,” says Carmen.
“They saw what kind of jewelry we were wearing and thought, ‘I’ll make it longer’.”
When the seller stubbornly insisted on offering a good price, the Geissens quickly decided to leave the goods behind and leave the store.
But he wasn't willing to let the expected deal slip through his fingers that easily and started pursuing the rich TV family.
Even when she had to cross a river on her way to the other end of the city, he couldn't be shaken off.
“He was so stubborn that he even jumped on the boat,” Carmen reported indignantly.

After the chase: Robert Geiss gives the seller money after all
A frightening situation for daughter Davina: “I found it brutally scary.”
It's all the more surprising that the clingy salesman was ultimately successful with this questionable tactic.
After a 15-minute chase, Robert asked his wife to give him money.
However, not out of pity or to get rid of him, but because Robert now sensed the chance to make a good deal after all.

And he was right: instead of the 4,000 dirhams he had originally asked for, the seller was now satisfied with 1,000.
Time for Robert to ask his daughters if they had learned something: “Negotiate well, otherwise the holiday fund will be empty.” Shania and Davina Geiss have already divided their million-dollar inheritance between themselves.
