This celebration is based on resistance heroism constructed by the Communist Party since the post-war period.
If his early death in the face of the enemy can only be moving and arouse admiration, in reality, Missak Manouchian was a modest resistance fighter.
Before his entry, in February 1943, into the Parisian Francs-tireurs et supporters of immigrant labor (FTP-MOI), his activity was propagandistic.
From March 17 to his arrest on November 16, 1943, he participated in only one action which drew the wrath of the military leader, Boris Holban, for not having respected the elementary rules...
