Actress Lily and father Ingolf Lück were in the spotlight on the “NDR Talk Show”.
The two revealed a well-kept secret: “Chi” – Lily’s middle name.
Hamburg – Lily (24) and Ingolf Lück (65) told a humorous anecdote about “Chi”, the 24-year-old’s middle name, on the “NDR Talk Show”.
On the show they chatted about the humorous story behind the name and about a small incident at the registry office that amused both the audience and the presenters.
Ingolf Lück: This is how his daughter got her unusual name
Bettina Tietjen (64) and Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt (67) welcomed the likeable father-daughter team Ingolf and Lily Lück in their current broadcast of the “NDR Talk Show” (February 16).
In addition to Lily's aspiring career and her father Ingolf's exciting experiences, one topic in particular caught Bettina Tietjen's interest: "Chi", Lily's unusual middle name.
Lily's choice of name was the result of a compromise between her parents.
Her father, Ingolf Lück, wanted to call her “Chili,” while her mother, Martina Lück, preferred the name “Liuba.”
Ultimately, they settled on “Lily,” but kept “Chi” (from “chilli”) as their middle name.
“Chi” was intended to give Lily strength and power.
The young actress countered humorously by asking her father: “You had an esoteric phase, right?”
Ingolf Lück's daughter's name mixed up: "Chi" became "Ski"
In the show, Ingolf also told the funny anecdote that the name was incorrectly spelled as “Ski” in Cologne, which caused amusement among the audience.
Lily Lück expressed concerns that her Asian-sounding name might create false expectations.
She joked that some people might be disappointed if they met a German actress.

Ingolf Lück also spoke about the upbringing of his daughter, which he characterized as volatile and anti-authoritarian.
Reminiscing about his memories as a young father, he mentioned the book “Every Child Can Learn to Sleep” and joked that the best parenting model for parents was the “Good Cop, Bad Cop” principle.
Lily Lück will probably be seen more often on television in the future, as the young actress will appear as a new character in the ARD cult series “Sturm der Liebe”.
