In two weeks, all educational institutions in the city of Sderot will open, the teachers and administrators have already begun preparations, with some of the educational teams already returning to the city.

The principal of the "Gil Rabin" elementary school in the city of Idit Dayan, who until recently managed an educational space for Sderot students in the Dead Sea, shared that despite the fear there is great excitement at the school.
"A challenging and exciting time, we took advantage of opportunities, we allowed the children to live far away from home," she said.
This coming Sunday, the evaluation days for the educational teams at the school begin, and Dayan begins to prepare her school for routine.
"Teachers need tools to talk to the children who are returning to school, there is concern on the part of both parents and teachers about returning to Sderot. We know how to provide the envelope for a gradual and inclusive return that rebuilds resilience. We will hold a parents' and students' day with the teachers so that the first entrance will be embracing and personal."

Daganit Argov, a counselor at a scientific Torah school in Sderot and a resident of the city, moved to Eilat and together with part of the educational team opened a learning space in Eilat.
Yesterday she returned home.
Daganit told about the suspicions of the teachers and students and the preparations for studies in a state of war.
"Yesterday we closed the learning space in Eilat at the end of the school day at one o'clock in the afternoon", Argov.
"I returned home to Sderot after four and a half months away from home. I returned with mixed emotions. There is relief and joy to return to your home, to your city, on the other hand there are many concerns due to the fact that we are still at war. We are constantly alert for any noise, any shaking noise."
"There is also anticipation and excitement from the reception of our students in a week and a half to school," Argov added.
"Before the students' return, we will have preparation days for the teams emotionally, personally and professionally. The teachers also have a fear of returning to the city: we have teachers who have small children and are afraid to return to the city, afraid to drive and even leave the house."

Argov also shared about the children's concerns, and the solutions they are trying to give on the practical and emotional side.
"The children are afraid and ask what will happen if an alarm catches them on the way to school," Argov shared some of her experiences as a school counselor.
"The children ask about the infiltration of terrorists into the city and the tunnels that reach Sderot. We return to Sderot, and I present the students with the reality as it is - there may still be a red color in the city, explosions can still be heard in the area, but the soldiers are in the city. We went through all the possible scenarios from a security point of view with the students and staff And we will continue to do so. We explained to them that there will also be soldiers who will give us an envelope of security inside the school."
