The Government faced a reduction of hierarchical positions, many linked to La Cámpora, in PAMI, the social work for retirees.
According to official sources, the organization's directors reduced the hierarchical structure and
eliminated 30 senior positions from managers to deputy directors
, who
earned about $3,000,000 a month in salary.
As
Clarín was able to corroborate,
the bailout falls on many
managers who took over during the previous management under the command of the camper Luana Volnovich.
These are directors and managers who had not resigned even though they are political positions that end with a term of office.
"After a survey and detecting these personnel, the decision was made to fire them," official sources said.
None of the 30 displaced people put up any resistance and many even maintained that they were waiting for the transition to end before leaving their positions.
The PAM hierarchical staff, until the previous administration, had 120 management positions.
With the reduction ordered by Milei's management, it will remain at 80. To the 30 already laid off, about 10 displacements will be added that will be finalized in the coming days.
The PAMI today is in charge of Esteban Leguizamo, who was in charge of surveying the hierarchical personnel and detecting that there were still managers from the previous management.
The Government maintains that the reduction in the number of political positions is an initiative that is in line with what the National State has been carrying out in its different agencies.
Sources from the organization assured that "the reduction in PAMI's hierarchical structure has the objective of cutting political positions and using the resources available to the institute more efficiently."
In numbers, the Government maintains that the cut means a saving of 24% in hierarchical ranks, a reduction of 75% in Secretaries and Executive Management, a cut of 33% in the number of Managements and almost 20% fewer Deputy Managements.
PAMI is a gigantic organization that manages one of the largest funds in the State.
It has 12 thousand employees throughout the country to serve some 6 million retirees.
Kirchnerism and especially La Cámpora used it as a fund for militancy and proselytism.
Volnovich's management placed militants in many regional offices of the organization to have a territorial presence.
One of the emblematic cases is that of Hurlingham, where camper Damian Selsci won the internship and then mayor against Juan Zabaleta.
There the PAMI campaigned for Selsci with the construction of a regional hospital for members that was inaugurated right in the middle of the campaign.
PAMI's number two during Volnovich's administration was Martín Rodríguez, his partner.
Rodríguez is also from Hurlingham where millions were allocated for the hospital.
More changes
Leguizamo, the new Executive Director of PAMI, also established a series of measures to control the organization's personnel.
Since he arrived, he reinforced controls to monitor attendance at workplaces.
They suspect that there were many gnocchi who were not going to work.
For that, they installed fingerprint readers in each facility to verify who attended.
