Erding – Pedro Aguiar, a top guitarist, is a guest in the concert hall of the district music school this Saturday, February 24th.
Starts at 7 p.m.
The Brazilian, whose concert was canceled four years ago during the pandemic, won first prize at the International Alhambra Competition in 2018 and is a winner of fifteen competitions in total.
After studying at the University of Goiania, he completed his artistic master's degree with distinction in the class of Prof. Franz Halasz at the University of Music and Theater in Munich.
In 2020, Aguiar recorded his first CD for Naxos (Brazilian Guitar Music), which made New York classical radio station WQXR's Best Albums of 2020 list.
In Erding, the guitarist will play all twelve concert etudes by Heitor Villa-Lobos, alongside pieces by Silvius Leopold Weiss and Manuel de Falla, brilliant and highly virtuoso pieces that make the expressive possibilities and technical facets of the guitar fascinatingly tangible.
Admission to the concert is free, donations are welcome.
