According to police, a young man beats a fellow passenger on the train between Lich and Gießen.
The reason seems banal: it was said to have been due to a cell phone game that was too loud.
Giessen - A young man is said to have hit a 53-year-old in the face on a local train between Lich (Giessen district) and Giessen on Monday morning (February 19).
The Federal Police Inspectorate in Kassel announced this on Tuesday afternoon.
The reason for the physical altercation was a video game on the cell phone that was obviously too loud.

Dispute over cell phone volume: Young man is said to have unceremoniously struck on the train
The 53-year-old from Grünberg (Giessen district) complained about this to his 23-year-old fellow passenger during the train ride.
According to police, he asked the young man to turn down his smartphone.
The 23-year-old did not do this.
Instead, he is said to have unceremoniously punched the 53-year-old in the face.
After arriving in Giessen, the man from Grünberg filed a criminal complaint with the Giessen Federal Police Station.
According to the police, the young man went to the station with the officers at Gießen train station.
Federal police searched him and found a small amount of marijuana.
The officers seized the drugs.
Giessen district: Criminal proceedings for bodily harm and violation of the Narcotics Act
The Federal Police Inspectorate in Kassel has now initiated criminal proceedings against the 23-year-old.
According to the police, this happened, among other things, for bodily harm and for violating the Narcotics Act.
The young man is now free again.
