A marriage proposal is one of the most exciting and greatest moments in a person's life - and many fantasize about this moment.
Some will prefer an intimate proposal and others will be happy to make or win a proposal in front of friends, family or even thousands of people - as in our case here.
While this emotional marriage proposal certainly could have ended in tears of joy, it ended in a lot of pain and suffering.
Why?
Because right during the marriage proposal, the woman discovered that her future husband had a lover.
Great timing.
Tiffany Lynn (tiffanylyynn on TikTok) told in a video that received 7.5 million views about the traumatic marriage proposal she received, when she found out that her fiancé was cheating on her - right in the middle of his proposal.
"I was madly in love with this man, head over heels. I would do anything he said," said Tiffany, adding that the two dated for two years.
Hoping to surprise her with an exciting marriage proposal (though she felt it was too soon), he took her to Orlando "for a little fun at the theme parks."
"As soon as we got to the park, he decided to sign up to compete in one of the competitions they had in this park," said Tiffany.
However, right before the competition began, her then-partner asked her to film the competition using his phone: a request that eventually led to his exploits being exposed.
On stage, the guy got down on one knee and proposed to his lover in the audience, but at the same time, while she was filming the proposal, she saw that "he starts getting text messages that pop up on the screen. It turned out that the messages were from his lover, with whom he had been having an affair the whole time we were together," she said, "I guess That morning he informed her that 'hey, it's over between us because I'm going to get engaged today' and she took out her nerves on him."

Tiffany explains that she is the type of person who can't do drama and she had to say "yes" and go along with the proposal, even though she knows very well that her new fiance is cheating on her.
She waited until the two were sitting together at the bar to confront him.
When he realized he had been caught, he did not deny the affair and instead tried to tell her "everything he thought she would want to hear."
All Tiffany could say to him was, "That two carat diamond ring? It just won't do."

In a follow-up video, Tiffany said that after the confrontation, the two returned home in awkward silence, and two days later she decided to give this relationship a chance, even though she felt all this time that she couldn't trust him again.
"About two days later, the unhealthy version of myself that I was at the time made me agree to put the ring on and play her engaged," she admitted, "Two or three months passed at the most after that proposal - and of course we broke up."
"He could never have won my trust back. It would never have worked. I invested so much in this relationship that it was really hard to break away. Again, we're human and I'm not a hard person to get along with, so I really tried," she concluded.
After the two broke up, Tiffany went to therapy during which she realized that she had dragged on this story for too long and that she would not repeat that mistake again: "It took about two years and $10,000 of therapy just to finally be at peace with myself again."
Today she conducts workshops and lectures on "from trauma to victory".
