This Valentonnais beekeeper is launching a call for mobilization among the Val-de-Marnais with several colleagues to invite residents to install hornet traps across the department from this month of February.
“It is now and until May that we must capture the founding queens, in order to avoid the construction of secondary nests which will house 500 to 1,000 hornets each,” explains Murat Cetinkaya with andragogy.
People mistakenly believe that cold weather kills hornets.
It is not so.
