Trenord launches 'Phone Pass', the entirely electronic subscription available on the App of the same name without the obligation to have the 'Io Viaggio' card.
The new function - they explain in Piazza Cadorna - makes the railway season ticket completely digital and dematerialized, without the need for a card or activation at the station, which is instead necessary for those who top up their card on the Trenord website.
"Phone Pass" is available with version 4.3 of the Trenord App, both on the Apple Store and on Google Play.
Once the update has been carried out, it is necessary to activate the function with which you can associate the new train pass with your smartphone.
During the purchase procedure, customers who have activated the new functionality will be able to choose the 'Phone Pass' option, to purchase the travel ticket and use it without the Trenord 'Io Viaggio' card.
The travel document purchased with this method is "immediately usable" and is associated with a 'QR Code', which passengers must show at controls and use to pass any access gates to the platforms.
'Phone Pass' is currently available for season tickets in 'train only' mode, therefore without integration with Milan's public transport, and for adult customers.
It is associated with the smartphone, and in the event of loss or replacement of the phone, the user can easily recover their dematerialized subscription by logging in with their credentials to the Trenord App on the new device.
With 'Phone Pass' it is possible to make a maximum of 3 transfers per month and the activation cannot be active on more than one smartphone at the same time.
