The leader of the small Place Publique party, allied to the Socialist Party, responded to criticism from the Insoumis, who accuse him of a hawkish attitude.
Manuel Bompard, the coordinator of the movement, accused him of
“wanting to involve France in a generalized confrontation”
, pleading for a
“diplomatic solution”
to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Switch to a “war economy”
Éric Coquerel, the president of the Finance Committee of the National Assembly, described Raphaël Glucksmann as a

The essayist has long been involved in supporting opponents of the regime in Russia, Ukraine and Georgia, and holds a very firm line against Vladimir Putin.
On Monday, he insisted on the BFMTV set that France
“should have completely switched to a war economy”
in view of the situation in Ukraine.
“What is absolutely crazy is that it has been two years since this war began (...) we still have not increased our production capacities
,” he added, worried that
“soldiers French will have to die"
in the event of Ukraine's defeat against the Russian giant.
The exchange takes place as the different political groups prepare for the European election campaign, three and a half months before the deadline.
On the left, first place should be played out between the Socialists, the Ecologists and the Rebels, who are holding close to 10% according to the various polls.
