“It’s like pony rides”: in Paris, leisure fishing soon threatened?

Will recreational fishing enthusiasts in the Parisian woods soon have to put their rods in the closet?

While the agreements between the City of Paris and the fishing associations - lasting six years - come to an end in July, environmentalists saw this as the right time to put a stop to the practice that 'they denounce.

The ace.

Their wish, presented at the last Paris Council, and which called for the non-renewal of these conventions, was ultimately not adopted.

To the great dismay of Corine Faugeron (EELV), who deplores “the animal suffering generated by this potentially fatal practice for fish”.

“Last year, we managed to stop pony rides,” recalls the elected official.

In recreational fishing, fish are not better regarded.
