“The daily life of the neighbors has been degraded”
In a press release published on his Facebook page, Pascal Blache, the mayor of the 6th arrondissement welcomed this announcement.
“Since the occupants took possession of the courtyard and premises of the old hardware store, the daily life of neighboring residents has been degraded: noise pollution day and night, hammer blows, shouting, music and above all a strong risk of fire .
The transformer door has been forced open several times.
The adjoining CPAM premises were damaged and thefts took place

The mayor claims to have received numerous complaints from residents and said he was
“happy and relieved”

The now former squat building was bought by Vinci where a project of 4,500 m2 of offices and 47 parking spaces is planned.
Security agents were deployed on site to ensure that the squat was not occupied again.
