In a decree published on January 12, the Rhône prefecture announced the closure of the hookah bar (also tea room) Amigo 69, located on the slopes of Croix-Rousse (1st arrondissement).
A decision taken following a shooting which took place inside the establishment on July 22, 2023 at 5:55 a.m.
Brawl during which two shots were fired from an automatic pistol, leaving one victim injured in the left leg.
Arriving on site, the police witnessed the fight and saw the perpetrator of the shots being chased by the manager and two customers.

No license
At 7:05 a.m., the victim had an alcohol level of 1.1g/l of blood and traces of cocaine consumption.
“Thus alcoholic beverages were consumed on site within the establishment in the absence of a license to do so
,” writes the prefecture in its decree to justify its decision to close for six months.
Contacted by registered letter on December 8, 2023 to share his observations, the manager never
“collected this mail from the postal services”
