“Let's Dance” has been flickering across German TV screens since 2006.

Over a hundred celebrities have taken part in the popular RTL show to date - but some of them have been somewhat forgotten.

1 / 15Politician Heide Simonis (†80) floated across the RTL dance floor alongside dancer Hendrik Höfken in the first season of “Let's Dance” (2006).

Together they took fourth place.

Simonis stopped participating after the fifth show for health reasons.

2 / 15Pop singer and multiple ESC participant Katja Ebstein took second place with professional dancer Oliver Seefeldt on RTL's “Let's Dance” (2007).

3 / 15Also in the second “Let's Dance” season (2007): presenter Margarethe Schreinemakers.

But she only made it to eighth place with Jürgen Schlegel as a dancer.

4 / 152010, the model Brigitte Nielsen took sixth place with dancer Oliver Tienken in “Let's Dance” (3rd season).

5 / 15Actor Mathieu Carrière also took part in the third season of the RTL dance competition in 2010.

He and “Let's Dance” professional Tatjana Kuschill had to be content with second-to-last place.

6 / 15In the fourth RTL “Let's Dance” season (2011), the former “Tatort” superintendent Andrea Sawatzki danced her way to eighth place alongside Stefano Terrazzino.

7 / 152012, pop singer Stefanie Hertel unfortunately only took third place behind Magdalena Brzeska and Rebecca Mir on “Let's Dance” (5th season).

9 / 15 Things were more successful the following year for reality TV star Carmen Geiss: She took third place with Christian Polanc in the seventh season of “Let's Dance” (2014).

10 / 15 RTL “Point 12” presenter Katja Burkard also didn’t miss the dance floor: in 2015, she danced alongside Paul Lorenz in the eighth “Let’s Dance” season.

Together they reached seventh place.

11 / 15Cathy Hummels (still Fischer at the time) unfortunately couldn't inspire the RTL viewers: she and dancer Marius Iepure were the first couple to leave the eighth season of “Let's Dance” (2015).

12 / 15At the side of RTL favorite Isabel Edvardsson, pop singer Michael Wendler whirled across the floor.

In the ninth season of “Let's Dance” (2016) they took ninth place.

13 / 15Showmaster and ex-“Bro'Sis” member Giovanni Zarrella made it to the semi-finals in 2017 – and then was eliminated.

During his participation in the tenth season, he danced with two “Let's Dance” professionals.

14 / 15 “Manta Manta” actress Tina Ruland also couldn’t convince RTL viewers.

In the eleventh season of “Let's Dance” (2018) she took last place with dancer Vadim Garbuzov.

15/152019 presenter Nazan Eckes danced her way to fourth place with professional Christian Polanc.

What many people no longer know: Nazan Eckes moderated the first three seasons of “Let’s Dance”.

Cologne – Some “Let’s Dance” candidates will always be remembered by RTL viewers – especially the winners.

But after more than 15 years of TV dance competitions and over a hundred participants, it is clear that one or two celebrities are no longer so present in the minds of fans.

So which long-forgotten stars were already on the RTL show?

And which celebrity from this year's season could possibly be on the forgotten list in the future?
