In Bethune
This Wednesday morning, the Regional Directorate for the Environment, Development and Housing (Dreal) of Béthune (Pas-de-Calais) was targeted by farmers in Pas-de-Calais.
Around fifteen tractors met to block the access and dump dozens of rotten straw bales.
On a black banner, a message addressed to the officials of this administration:
“Let us work, we know how to do it.”

We are fed up with paperwork
and administrative hassles,”
says an angry Gilbert Philippe, a farmer in Gauchin-le-Gal (Pas-de-Calais).
La Dreal, they only serve to annoy us.
They are still looking for the little beast.
We know how to do our job, if they let us work, we will be able to feed the French and live decently.”
“We just want to show that we still exist,”
adds Jérémie Plancke, farmer in Verquin (Pas-de-Calais).
We wonder if up there, they understood that we wanted that to change.”
We understood that on non-treatment zones (ZNT) or on the issue of hedges, nothing was going to change despite the politicians' promises.
We have the impression that the officials are blocking
