Highlights: Apartment buildings: Construction stalled due to company bankruptcy - work is starting again. Six apartment buildings are being built on the site of the old town hall in Hausham. The houses were originally supposed to be ready for occupancy in 2024. For employees in particularly scarce professional groups, the district clinic has secured two of the six houses with a total of 34 apartments through long-term rental agreements. A further two apartment buildings, each with 14 apartments, are available on the open rental market; a year ago, Schlierach GmbH had over 100 interested parties.

Making progress again: Work on the apartment buildings that have been under construction on the site of the old town hall in Hausham for around a year.

For four weeks nothing moved on the construction site of the apartment buildings in Hausham, now the work is continuing.

Blame for the break: the bankruptcy of a general contractor.

Hausham

– The contours can already be seen from the shell of the building: as is known, six apartment buildings are being built on the site of the old town hall in Hausham.

But the project on the corner of Miesbacher Strasse is not only attracting a lot of attention because of the prominent property.

Some applicants are also likely to be interested in following the construction progress because of the later rental of apartments with income-oriented support (EOF).

What was most recently noticed was that the construction site stood still - for around four weeks.

“That’s right,” says project developer Eva-Maria Klappauf when asked by our newspaper.

“But it’s been working again since this week,” she assures.

First the winter and the heavy snowfall got in the way of the work, then the general contractor who had coordinated the individual trades went bankrupt.

But after a short compulsory break, the same companies that were previously entrusted with the orders will continue to work on the construction, explains Klappauf.

Ultimately, executing companies themselves are not affected by the bankruptcy.

Lost time should be made up if possible

Now Schlierach GmbH is trying to make up for lost time.

It probably won't work completely - but overall the project is roughly on schedule, emphasizes Klappauf.

Accordingly, the houses were originally supposed to be ready for occupancy in 2024.

Klappauf does not want to commit to an updated forecast at this point;

“But things are going faster now than before,” says the project developer.

As reported, a prominent employer, among others, is waiting for completion: the Agatharied Hospital.

For employees in particularly scarce professional groups, the district clinic has secured two of the six houses with a total of 34 apartments through long-term rental agreements.

They should also be available to nursing staff from abroad who need a place to stay temporarily but at very short notice.

A further two apartment buildings, each with 14 apartments, are available on the open rental market;

A year ago, Schlierach GmbH had over 100 interested parties.

According to the plan, the remaining two houses will be divided into eleven and twelve apartments, which will be rented to eligible citizens with income-dependent subsidies;

the award is still pending.
