The guest appearance of a steakhouse in the “Starnbräu” in Bad Tölz was short-lived.

There are new openings elsewhere in the city center.

Bad Tölz

– There is a lot going on in the Tölz city center again.

A brief overview of current openings and closures.

Maria Riesch and Andreas Bauer opened their first store on upper Marktstrasse.

But they are not unknown about their business.

The Wackersbergers have had a stand at the Tölz Christmas market for years.

Their specialty is lamps and candle holders made of cork.

Seating furniture made from the sustainable material and bags are now also new.

The latter always amaze people about how cork can be so thin and yet strong.

They are made by hand in Portugal.

Customers can watch the creation of other cork products directly in the store.

There is a glass factory.

“Ernstings Family” opens shop in Marktstrasse Bad Tölz

In addition to cork items, Riesch and Bauer offer various regional products.

“It’s important to us that we know the people behind it,” says Bauer.

There are candles from “Kerzen Steinhart” from Bad Tölz, organic honey from Bichl, herbal steam ovens from Irschenberg and soaps from Walchensee.

“I never thought it would all turn out like this,” says Riesch.

Many people would come to the store based on a recommendation.

It is important to know the story behind the special material.

It is a natural miracle.

“The tree from which the cork is peeled lives on.” Cork does not rot, does not burn and does not break.

The products are “unique worldwide,” emphasize Riesch and Bauer.

Another new opening on Marktstrasse is in house number 57. As reported, a branch of the “Ernsting's Family” chain has been offering clothing for children and adults there since the beginning of February.

Reopening under the name “Quiet Soul, Courageous Heart”

“Quiet Soul, Courageous Heart” has opened at Badstrasse 2.

Behind the name is Stephanie Fuchs, who works as a coach.

She offers help in the areas of resilience, fear, grief and difficult life decisions.

She also works as a business coach. “A topic close to my heart is supporting young women and actively supporting them,” says Fuchs.

She would also like to use her rooms flexibly: for readings, seminars and discussion evenings, but also as an exhibition space for artists.

“My goal is to create a space for all of us, with all of us together.”

Hasret Dogan opened her first store on Kyreinstrasse.

She offers various treatments in her cosmetic studio: eyelash lifting, bleaching, waxing and eyebrow correction, for example.

Appointments are available by appointment.

There are also closures in the city center.

The “Müller Beauty Store” perfumery on Marktstrasse will close on February 24th.

According to the Müller press team, a sale is currently taking place.

There is no comment on the reasons.

The store will be handed over to the landlord after it closes.

What’s next for the “Steakhouse”?

The “Starnbräu” is empty again.

The “Steakhouse Jordi” has been closed since the end of last year.

We are now thinking “in-house” about what to do next, says homeowner Klaus Hochwind.

“We’ll think of something.”

The “Orient-Kebap” on Königsdorfer Straße appears to have closed its doors.

The windows are currently taped shut.

It is not clear from the outside whether this is a temporary or permanent closure.

In addition to kebabs, you could also buy fruit and vegetables in the shop.

There is currently no news about a vacancy on Marktstrasse.

The “Ratskeller” has been closed for almost five years.

The property belongs to the city of Bad Tölz, which has repeatedly thought about possible new uses.

As reported, it is not necessary for a full-service restaurant to open there again.

But there are still no new results, as press spokeswoman Birte Stahl reports.
