Hof – Last Saturday afternoon, February 17th, a threat and insult to a young couple occurred in the city of Hof.
The Hof criminal police are looking for the five perpetrators and are asking the public for help.
Sad incident in Hof: Five young men threaten a couple
At around 4 p.m., a 25-year-old man and his 22-year-old girlfriend were walking on Kreuzsteinstrasse when they came across a group of five young men.
For no apparent reason, the men began harassing the couple with sexually explicit insults.
The couple suspect that the 22-year-old's "visible transsexual background" was the trigger for the attacks, police report.
The group persisted and one of the perpetrators blocked their path while hiding an object in his jacket pocket, of which only a black handle was visible.
The impression arose that it could be a knife.
Despite the threat, the couple managed to reach their parked car and get to safety.

The young couple described the perpetrators as follows:
Masculine
Approximately 16 to 18 years old
165 to 180 centimeters tall
Slim
According to witnesses, southern-Arab appearance
Dressed in black jackets, one of which has a black vest.
Anyone who saw the five men on Saturday afternoon or was able to observe the incident is asked to contact the Hof criminal police on (09 28) 1 70 40.
