In the Agadez bus station, in central Niger, the touts chant the destination of the convoy which must leave the city that same evening.

Like every Tuesday, a convoy of several dozen vehicles sets off at nightfall across the desert to reach Libya.
Travelers benefit from a military escort which reaches Dirkou, 550 km away.
Relative protection for the first day of a journey which will last between three and five days, across the rocky plateaus and dunes of the Ténéré.
There, bands of looters roam the desert, and disorientation, breakdowns or silting...
