Kempten – Until March 3rd, the Kunsthalle Kempten is dedicating the exhibition “Winding Paths” to the artist Bertram Schilling, who died in 2023.

It follows on from the solo exhibition “Central Provinces” shown at the Kunsthalle in 2005, but focuses on a motif from the painter's extensive estate that has developed over a long period of time.

Winding forms in his early work became the main motif in the middle of his work: as “Winding Paths”, they run through his oeuvre, from which the Augsburg curator Dr.

Mechthild Müller-Hennig has now made a selection for the Kunsthalle Kempten.

The opening times are: Thursday and Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Entry to the exhibition is free of charge.

All information, a detailed biography and images of the artist's work can be found at

In the exhibition at the Kempten City Theater from February 24th to March 24th, Irmi Obermeyer shows works in oil on various image supports, including plexiglass and wooden boxes.

© Repro: Obermeyer

Kempten – Irmi Obermeyer's painting is characterized by the longing for the white surface.

Even the foundation of her works is part of the creative expression.

However, the white does not remain the background, but is an equal counterpart to the rest of the color.

Instead of impulsive moments, it is precise preparation and attentive, precise technique that the Allgäu painter uses for her works.

The selection and quantity of oil paints, the brushes, the substrate, all of this must be prepared and coordinated.

No hesitation or hesitation should interrupt the flow of painting, because corrections are hardly possible.

The exhibition is open

until March 24th

, always one hour before the start of the performance in the city theater.
