The government of Javier Milei announced the
appointment
of the general editor and co-founder of the news portal La Derecha Diario, Juan Pablo Carreira, better known by the pseudonym Juan Doe that he uses on social networks, as
general director of Digital Communication
of the Executive Branch.
Under the alias Juan Doe, the designated official is
an active libertarian tweeter
, an industrial engineer, who has known Milei since 2015 and worked the entire campaign on digital communication issues in the team of external consultant Fernando Cerimedo.
Doe
replaces Iñaki Gutiérrez,
who was in charge of the Government's digital communication until he was displaced at the beginning of the year for using the Casa Rosada account to tweet a New Year's greeting with a photo with his girlfriend.
The new official is very active on the social network X (exTwitter), where he has 140,000 followers and is constantly generating controversy.
For example, this Sunday he assured that "
the province of Misiones had to intervene right now and prevent
unconstitutional taxes from being charged on the passage of merchandise."

When
Clarín
asked sources from the national government about the real name of the person who presents himself as Juan Doe on social networks, the official sources said they did not know his real name.
However, it turned out that his real name is Juan Pablo Carreira.
Doe is one of the people most cited by Milei on his social networks, as is the media La Derecha Diario, which the new official founded together with Cerimedo, an external consultant to the President and former head of his digital presidential campaign.
"After 2 months of work forming an impressive team, having been a cog in the best campaign in history and 8 years convinced that we saved this country, it is time to enter the field," Doe announced in his X account (exTwitter).

Doe's appointment occurred a few days after Cerimedo was accused by a judge of the Brazilian Supreme Court of being part of a "criminal organization", with "acting nuclei and digital militias" in the attempted coup d'état led by the former president. Jair Bolsonaro after the October 2022 elections, where he narrowly lost to Lula da Silva.
