Last year there was a lot going on for the 42 active members of the Fraunberg Volunteer Fire Department: a total of 2,114 hours were worked in 37 missions, exercises, radio trips, courses as well as further training.

Fraunberg – Commander Thomas Daschinger presented an impressive report from the active area of the Fraunberg Volunteer Fire Department.

“We have become more modern and digital with the FF-Agent app alerting and the new device management,” he announced at the general meeting.

“We made the switch and set up a NAS server and made the equipment shed operationally safe with a blackout and lighthouse emergency power supply concept.”

There was a lot going on for the 42 active participants: a total of 2,114 hours were completed in 37 missions, exercises, radio trips, courses and further training.

The number of operational hours has tripled in the last three years, according to the commander.

Moritz Fischer and Johannes Daschinger completed a height rescue course.

In addition, exercises were carried out with the special flood trailer, water rescue in rivers and handling of large animals were practiced.

The MTA squad leader qualification course was also successfully completed.

The firefighters visited the integrated control center in Erding.

The exact date will be announced in the community bulletin.

Respiratory protection officer Georg Neumaier was satisfied with his 17 respiratory protection wearers.

They were deployed at five fires and one gas accident.

He appealed to everyone: “Twelve respiratory protection wearers are mandatory, we are not getting any younger, we urgently need people who are willing to do the G26 training.”

Youth leader Tobias Ott had practiced regularly with his twelve protégés, including a 24-hour exercise.

Both the youth flame in September and October and the knowledge test in Dorfen were successfully passed, twice even with the best results.

“We will soon have to go from clinic to clinic for new young people.

“The fire department is not as popular a club as the Schützen or FC,” Ott regretted.

Natalie Kienmüller-Stadler from the district fire inspection, who represented Inspector Manfred Schreiber, saw it differently.

“Scoring a score or a goal is nice, but it’s also a nice feeling when you save lives,” she said.

Mayor Hans Wiesmaier was impressed: “You are an enthusiastic team that gets involved.

You have ensured an exemplary external impact in the anniversary year.” At the end, chairman Georg Atzberger honored loyal members and made promotions.
