Schwandorf - A postman in the Schwandorf district in the Upper Palatinate has been making shipments disappear for weeks.
However, a colleague discovered him and caught the 27-year-old.

Since last December, several pieces of mail have disappeared in the Steinberg am See area, as

A postal worker suspected a certain postman and set a trap for the young man.
He prepared a package with an empty cell phone package and a so-called catching device, which is also used to investigate thefts.
The perpetrator's fingers become discolored when they come into contact with the paste or powder, which means he can be convicted.

The postal employee who set the trap then filed a complaint.
The suspect's apartment was then searched, but no further loot was found.
The postman is accused of eleven thefts, four of which he confessed to the police.
The 27-year-old stole the contents of the packages and sent them to relatives in Bulgaria, reports

The 27-year-old is now facing several charges of theft and violating postal secrecy.
