The public's support for the RTL2 Essonne en scène festival is confirmed year after year.

In 2023, the opening of the ticket office for the 4th edition (and the first with RTL2) exploded with half of the places and all of the two-day passes sold in one week.

A record broken this year.

“More than 2,000 tickets sold for the festival in just 24 hours, almost double last year!

Take advantage of it quickly,” urges François Durovray, the president (LR) of the Essonne departmental council on social networks.

The ticket office for the 5th edition opened on February 8, the day after the announcement of the headliners.

On August 30 and 31, Étienne Daho, Mika, Hoshi, Kyo, Matmatah, Clara Ysé and Santa will take the stage at the Chamarande estate.

This new program is obviously as attractive as that of 2023 which hit hard with Matthieu Chedid, Juliette Armanet, Shaka Ponk and even Zaho de Sagazan who has since won four Victoires de la Musique.

“We have already sold 5,500 tickets,” rejoices François Durovray.

That is to say a quarter of the places in total, with a balance between Friday and Saturday, a slight advantage for Saturday evening with Mika and Étienne Daho.

»

Which delights the organizers, the departmental council, the Francofolies de La Rochelle and RTL2.

“We were already very happy to have managed to come up with such a beautiful poster,” they confide.

Because this year, with the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, it is extremely difficult to book artists in the Paris region.

We are very proud to have convinced artists like Mika, Étienne Daho, Hoshi, Kyo, Matmatah, Clara Ysé and Santa.

Despite an increase in prices, two-day passes have already passed

And to have convinced the public who rushed for the tickets.

In addition to the 2,000 places already sold, all two-day passes sold for 89 euros for the first arrivals as an introductory price have also been sold out.

You now have to pay 98 euros to enjoy the festival for two days, or 49 euros for one evening, with reduced rates.

The singer Hoshi will be one of the headliners of this 5th edition.

Ticket prices are not immune to inflation.

“Quite an increase in prices,” laments Laurence, an Essonnienne.

The 2-day pass cost 30 euros compared to 2023. This is downright indecent and a shame for our young people.

» In 2023, you had to pay 69 euros to attend the two days of festivities.

The one-day pass has increased by ten euros, including for reduced rates which go from 29 to 39 euros.

Even children under 12 now have to pay 15 euros compared to 9 euros last year.

Note the “Navigo pass” and “culture pass” prices at 39 euros.

“Prices are higher because we are improving the organization and reception,” explains François Durovray.

We are increasing parking with an additional car park of 3,000 spaces, more toilets and catering areas, better lighting, new bicycle parking lots… Furthermore, it remains one of the cheapest festivals, by far.

We had always announced that to make this event sustainable, we would have to find a balance between the financing of the organizers and the participation of the public.

The exhaustion of the two-day pack proves that festival-goers are following us.

From August 30 to 31, 2024 at the Domaine de Chamarande, 39, rue du Commandant Arnoux in Chamarande.

Prices: 98 euros for two days;

49 euros for one evening (39 euros for people with disabilities, students and under 18s).
