A white van causes a moment of shock in Dietramszell: it overtook two cars in a forest - and almost drove into oncoming traffic.

Dietramszell

- On Tuesday afternoon around 3:45 p.m., a man from Holzkirchen was driving his black Skoda on the state road between Dietramszell and the B13 to Holzkirchen.

He came from the direction of the monastery.

At the turnoff to Reith, just before the road leads into the forest, a white van came very quickly in his lane and was overtaking two cars.

The Geretsried police station reports this in its press report.

The only reason the accident didn't happen was because the Skoda driver braked hard.

Shocked, he called the police: The only way the driver prevented a crash was by braking hard - the driver was wanted

The transporter pulled back into its lane just in front of the stationary Skoda.

The Skoda driver called the police via the emergency call.

The driver who almost caused the accident is still unknown.

He just kept driving.

The Geretsried police station is looking for witnesses to the incident.

“Especially the occupants of the overtaken vehicles,” the police would like to ask about their perceptions.

One of the two is probably a red car.

The police don't know the license plate number.

“Due to the speed of the event, the man from Holzkirchen was unfortunately unable to remember the license plates of the other vehicles,” said the police.

If the investigation is successful, the still unknown driver of the van will face criminal proceedings for endangering road traffic.
