The ranking shows the cities according to the number of single households and their internet search behavior
The basis for the single rating were the 50 largest cities in Germany.
These were assessed in the categories of proportion of single households and the Google search volume of residents for the keywords “dating app” or “single party and city”.
So that the cities can be compared with each other, the values were set in relation to all households and population numbers in the cities.
A maximum of 50 points could be achieved in the categories, i.e. a maximum of 150 points.
Munich comes in seventh place in this ranking: According to tripz.de, Munich residents enter the search term “dating app” on Google an average of 1,600 times.
The Oktoberfest is probably one of the best dating sites in Munich - but singles in the city are also worth visiting during the rest of the year, as Munich residents are busy using dating apps.

A city in Saxony is in first place in the ranking
Leipzig takes first place in the ranking: the number of single-person households is particularly high there (56 percent of single-person households).
The most populous city in Saxony gets full marks in the “singles parties” category: Leipzig residents searched for parties of this type on Google most often in relation to the number of residents.
Frankfurt am Main and Hanover are closely followed and therefore in second place.
The winners' podium is completed in Hamburg.
Here too, the number of single-person households is very high (55 percent).
Cologne took fourth place - the keywords “single party and Cologne” are particularly often googled here.
Fifth place is occupied by Dresden, sixth place is taken by Düsseldorf.
