The head of a criminal organization was detained for questioning yesterday (Tuesday) after he was caught in a bulletproof vehicle, with a reserve service soldier armed with a Tabor type weapon next to him.
According to the suspicion, the weapon was used for the security of the head of the organization.
The investigation revealed that the leader of the organization arrived at the court hearing in Nazareth in a bulletproof vehicle and was accompanied by a reservist armed with a tavor weapon which was allegedly used for his security.
The luxury car used by the head of the organization was seized and a request was made to confiscate the vehicle.
The suspect was arrested yesterday, when in the activity of the North District in the city of Nof HaGalil, the policemen stopped for inspection a vehicle in which, on suspicion, protection against gunfire was installed.
The vehicle, a bullet-proof Toyota Land Cruiser, was stopped and contained four suspects, including the head of a criminal organization, an armed soldier in reserve service and two other suspects who were detained for questioning at the North District Police Headquarters.

The four suspects were interrogated, the reserve soldier's weapon was seized and the investigation material passed to the military police who acted to remove the soldier from the reserve ranks.
"The police officers of the Northern District fight resolutely against the criminal organizations that harm the safety of normal citizens," the police said.
"We act by all means with the aim of preventing and thwarting the criminal activity and bringing them behind bars."

Last week, a shake-up in the world of crime was reported, when a high-ranking criminal signed a state witness agreement.
The criminal was recruited by the central unit of the Tel Aviv district after he was arrested by it about a month ago on suspicion of involvement in the attempted assassination of the head of the crime organization Eli Mosley.
The criminal who signed a state witness agreement last night is expected to shed light and incriminate other criminals in a number of serious cases related to conflicts in the underworld.
The police hope that the matter will lead to an extensive indictment that may be a significant development in the fight against organized crime.
