No good news for rail commuters between Weilheim and Peißenberg: The Bavarian Regional Railway (BRB) has to keep the tracks closed for weeks.
Weilheim - When asked by the Kreisbote, the BRB confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that the section between Weilheim and Peißenberg can only be used with rail replacement buses.
The tracks in this section will remain closed until further notice until at least April 7th.
Weilheim-Peißenberg: BRB route closure forces weeks without trains - BRB continues to rely on rail replacement services
A railway spokesman explained that the infrastructure operator DB InfroGO is still looking for a cause and solution to the problem.
Road sensors had already activated last weekend and triggered the closure.
Since then, BRB travelers have had to switch to replacement rail transport.
The railway operator cites infrastructure damage, i.e. damage to the track, as the reason for the closure.
According to the BRB, exact details still need to be clarified.
This definitely means further delays for commuters and travelers.
Travelers can always find out about the status of the rail closures on the website
