In recent years, Israel has become a culinary powerhouse, with dozens, even hundreds of world-class restaurants.
It is a fact that no less than six Israeli restaurants entered the prestigious list of the 50 best restaurants in the world this year.
Every year, Israeli restaurants continue to push the culinary boundaries and win both local and international recognition.
One of those unique restaurants is Jasia Hipoia (combination of Jaffa, Jaffa in English, together with the word Asia) - an Asian Arabic restaurant with a rich menu that correctly and deliciously combines the two favorite cuisines.
The name of the special restaurant goes before it, and we couldn't help but sample the menu ourselves.
After all, where can you find authentic Arabic dishes alongside sushi and gyoza?
"On the one hand, you can eat cauliflower and eggplant with tahini, and on the other hand, Japanese dishes," says Amir Agbaria, the restaurant's chef, who provided quite a few tips for home cooks.
"Cooking at home? It's very important to stand by the pot all the time and not move from it. Another thing you shouldn't miss is seasoning - don't forget to put salt and delicious spices that are added to each dish."
How do the two cuisines fit together and what did we learn from the chef?
