While the Arenas in Paris or the nearby suburbs are preparing to host Olympic events, that of Tremblay-en-France, to the north-east of Seine-Saint-Denis, will open its doors after the Games.
In the meantime, the organization chart and programming of this performance hall and sporting events are becoming clearer.
The company S-PASS TSE, which ensures the operation, management and animation of around twenty theaters in France, has announced the appointment of Cyrille Reconneille to the position of director of the Arena Grand Paris, a building of 9,000 seats in total located on the edge of Seine-et-Marne and Val-d'Oise and long referred to as the Colisée.
This “entertainment expert” worked for nearly two decades at the Stade de France, where he notably held the position of director of programming and ticketing.
He then joined the organizing committee for the Rugby World Cup, which took place last year in France, as director of commercial activities.
Gad Elmaleh, “The Goldman Legacy” or “Stars 80” on the program
It is up to him and his teams to complete a program that has so far been revealed in trickles.
After the announcement of the inauguration of the Arena Grand Paris on September 28 with Gad Elmaleh and his last solo performance, the ticket office for five new shows opened in February: “L'Héritage Goldman” carried by his compère Michael Jones (October 11), “Stars 80” (November 14), the concert of the Christian group “Glorious” (November 30) and the shows “Rock Symphony Voices” (December 1) and “Celtic Legends - The Life in Green” (March 21, 2025).
According to the general director of S-PASS TSE, who must collect the keys to the equipment on April 2, the complete program will include “20 to 25 shows in the first season, ranging from urban to French variety”.
The Arena Grand Paris will have a main hall with 7,000 seats for concerts and cultural events and a second with 2,000 seats for sporting events.
