Tense mood in the US election campaign: Joe Biden deals against Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

The Kremlin reacts with sharp criticism.

Washington/San Francisco - Vladimir Putin's actions in the Ukraine war or the death of Alexei Navalny: The current developments on the European continent are also further heating up the political debates in the USA.

In the middle of the campaign for the 2024 US election, Donald Trump and US President Joe Biden are now dividing things up against each other.

After he commented on the incident shortly after Navalny's death, the Democrat launched a round-the-clock attack against his possible rival and Vladimir Putin at an election campaign event.

Joe Biden makes a clear statement about Vladimir Putin: “Crazy bastard”

During a speech in San Francisco on the West Coast on Wednesday evening (local time), Biden described Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin as a “crazy SOB,” according to press representatives traveling with him.

The abbreviation “SOB” stands for “son of a bitch” in English, a swear word that has numerous meanings: from “bastard” or “shithead” to the very literal and rather uncommon translation “son of a bitch”.

During his campaign appearance for the 2024 US election, Biden said that there are crazy bastards like Putin and that there is always the danger of a conflict involving nuclear weapons, but that the real existential threat to humanity is climate change.

The threat of climate change was therefore the actual topic of Biden's speech.

Sharp criticism from Russia: Joe Biden's statement about Putin was an “outrageous statement”

The fact that Joe Biden finds such clear words to talk about Vladimir Putin seems unusual at first glance.

However, the 81-year-old's appearance took place in front of a small group of his campaign's donors.

At events like these, which are not broadcast live on television, Biden

sometimes tends to speak more freely, according to the

German Press Agency .

Nevertheless, Biden's statement caused sharp criticism in the Russian Kremlin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on Joe Biden's appearance that these were “outrageous statements” that were a great shame for the USA itself.

“If the president of such a country uses such language, then it should be shameful.” He emphasized that Putin had never allowed himself such insults towards US presidents.

That's correct so far: While Putin holds back from verbal gaffes towards the political West, his propagandists are only happy to take on this role.

Putin confidant Dmitri Medvedev regularly acts as Russia's agitator and bombards the West with his inflammatory speeches.

Biden criticizes Trump after NATO statement and Navalny statement: “Where the hell did that come from?”

But not only Vladimir Putin was the subject of Joe Biden's speech, but also former US President Donald Trump.

The 81-year-old criticized Trump's recent statements and compared his legal problems to the death of Russian opposition leader and Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny.

“He compares himself to Navalny and says he was persecuted because our country became a communist country, just like Navalny was persecuted.

“Where the hell did that come from?” Biden said, according to reporters in the room.

In contrast to Biden and other Western representatives, Trump has not yet blamed Russia or Vladimir Putin for Navalny's death.

This caused significant criticism from his political opponents.

Trump's NATO statements that he would not protect defaulting NATO countries from a Russian attack also caused many allies to shake their heads in concern.
