It took Seine-et-Marne firefighters less than fifteen minutes to rescue Philippe Petitdemange on January 12, 2019. He was the victim of a violent attack at the Fontainebleau-Avon station by two men.
Five years later, the firefighters appeared before the Assize Court of Seine-et-Marne, in Melun, attempting to reproduce as faithfully as possible the first findings made with the victim on the evening of the events.
An important restitution since it was they who collected the last words of Philippe Petitdemange, before he was intubated, transported to the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital and died there five days later.
“When we arrived on site, Mr. Petitdemange was on the ground.
He struggled to breathe and had great difficulty expressing himself.
His nose was bleeding and red and swollen.
He also has traces of blood on his shirt.
His eyes did not react and he had paralysis on the left side, a sign of neurological damage,” explains one of the firefighters.
