Thursday ends stormy in Bavaria.
An official weather warning points out possible side effects.
Munich – For many residents of Bavaria it was a very rainy Thursday (February 22nd).
Now a turbulent conclusion is looming.
At least this is what an official warning from the German Weather Service (DWD), which was issued for large parts of the Free State, suggests.
The experts predict that squalls will be approaching from 6 p.m.
The DWD warning text even states: “Severe gusts of up to 100 km/h must be expected near showers and in exposed locations.” Initially, the official warning was valid until Friday morning (2 a.m.).

Will parts of Lower Bavaria and Upper Palatinate survive without squalls?
At least the relevant areas were colored green on the DWD warning map late on Thursday afternoon (meaning: there is currently no warning).
In stormy Bavaria, residents are urged to be careful in the evening.
On its homepage, the DWD has shown possible side effects of the squalls: “There is a danger from individual falling branches and flying objects.” It is also advised to secure free-standing objects such as garden furniture.
Warning of squalls, flooding in parts of Franconia
As a result of sometimes heavy, continuous rain, authorities in parts of Franconia are warning of floods and floods.
The areas around Bamberg and Coburg are particularly affected, as the Bavarian flood intelligence service announced on Thursday.
