Chacarita Juniors
submitted a letter to the
AFA Disciplinary Court
this Thursday to formally claim the points from the Argentine Cup match against
Tigre.
On the Arsenal de Sarandí field, Néstor Gorosito's team was winning 1-0 when 7 minutes into the second half a bottle hit
Facundo Brandán
's head and referee Ariel Penel decided to suspend the match.
The projectile fell from the Tigre stalls (there were no Chacarita fans in the stadium) and whoever threw it was arrested minutes after the incidents and was released this Thursday.
The San Martín club sent a letter in which it asked the Court to
"proceed to apply the current regulations, article 80 of the AFA Regulation of Transgressions and Penalties,
and order the loss of the match to Club Atlético Tigre
, without prejudice of other sanctions that it considers necessary
.
This article to which Chacarita refers establishes a
"fine of 2 to 6 dates, of the gross value of the general admission, depending on the seriousness of the fact, to the club whose members, partiality or partisan public located in the sectors assigned to said institution, in opportunity of higher division matches in a competition of any category, that throw any type of projectiles or other elements that are used as such and that attack by any means the referee, assistants, technical staff, players or the general public, provided that the fact can be attributed to an immediate consequence of the dispute (whether the match is played or not) or a previous match.
In turn, if as a consequence of the indicated assumptions the start of the match or its continuation is prevented, it will apply to the match(es). responsible club/s a deduction of 9 to 30 points accredited
as the relevant responsibilities, and a decision may be made to lose the category or even disaffiliate.
Finally,
the Disciplinary Court may declare the responsible club team to have lost the match
regardless of the time played and the number of goals scored.
The sanctions provided for in this article will apply to any event that occurs before, during or after the match, inside or outside the stadium
.
At first, Chacarita's coach, Aníbal Biggeri, declared:
"I play when they want and where they want. I don't have any problem. A game will be won or lost, but we are going to think about those of us who are inside. The only thing that interests me is "It's the boy's health
. "
However, the leadership decided to demand the maximum penalty from the Disciplinary Court of the Argentine Football Association for the injury suffered by the footballer.
"IT HAS TO BE PLAYED WHEREEVER AND HOWEVER"
Fernando Brandán expressed in TyC Sports his desire to complete the remaining minutes of the classic between Chacarita and Tigre that was suspended due to the aggression of the Matador fans.

In this context,
Gustavo Azzollini, Chacarita's lawyer
, spoke with TyC Sports and confirmed: "Chacarita asked that Tigre be considered lost beyond the sanctions that may apply to people who made statements urging violence and minimizing this fact.
I'm talking about (Néstor) Gorosito
, it really makes me very sad that he spoke like that about a colleague."
Pending the resolution, whoever advances to the next round will face the winner of the match between San Lorenzo and Independiente de Chivilcoy in the round of 16 of the Argentine Cup.
