Dubai – It starts again on Thursday evening (February 15th): “Germany's Next Top Model” starts with new episodes on ProSieben.
For the 19th season, Heidi Klum (50) has come up with some innovations.
This time, men are also allowed to apply for the first time.
In the end there will be a winner.
But not everyone likes the show: There was a lot of criticism for the casting show in advance.

, ex-GNTM candidate Fiona Erdmann (35) reveals what she thinks about it.
“This is a TV show.
It has to develop.
Nobody can always want the same thing,” explains the model.
“Sometimes people just want to think everything is stupid, I get the impression.
If you didn’t reinvent GNTM every now and then, then the show certainly wouldn’t have existed since 2006.”
Fiona Erdmann competed in the second season of the casting show in 2007 and made it to fourth place.
Barbara Meier (37) secured the title at the time.
There is always criticism that GNTM has its best days behind it.
How does the influencer feel about this?
“There are so many shows that come and go.
“It’s really nice that GNTM is a show in between that is more consistent,” says Fiona Erdmann.
“People have been watching it for almost 20 years and are still interested in it.
Of course, there are always people who criticize the show.
But you will always have it.”

Model mom Heidi Klum also has to face criticism again and again.
Her ex-protégé defends the 50-year-old: “Heidi is a likeable presenter and model who has accompanied us for decades.
I think it's beautiful."

Fiona Erdmann doesn't think it's a bad thing that people are sometimes treated more harshly.
“You always take something away from situations that are difficult.
I think I've grown from it and that's a good thing.
Because it’s not any easier in the world outside,” says the Dubai emigrant.
That's why Fiona Erdmann no longer wants to live in Germany.
