A 47-year-old woman from Bischofswiesen wanted to turn left from the main road into Riedherrengasse in her small car.
This maneuver was overlooked by a 46-year-old woman from Schönau, who then drove into the waiting woman's car.
The Traunstein control center sent the Bischofswiesen volunteer fire department and an ambulance crew from the Berchtesgaden Red Cross to the scene of the accident.
After initial medical treatment, the 46-year-old woman from Schönau was taken to the Bad Reichenhall district clinic.
Shortly after 2:30 p.m., a second ambulance crew from the Berchtesgaden Red Cross had to drive to the scene of the accident to pick up the 47-year-old Bischofswiesen woman and a 48-year-old Bischofswiesen man, who were also taken to the Bad Reichenhall district clinic.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged, causing significant traffic delays.
The fire brigade provided first aid, ensured fire protection and diverted the remaining traffic past the scene.

At around 5:50 p.m., another ambulance crew from the Berchtesgaden Red Cross had to go to Aschauerweiherstrasse.
A 30-year-old from Berchtesgaden was slightly injured in an accident there.

The 30-year-old was taken to the Bad Reichenhall district clinic for further examination.
Both cars sustained significant damage to the front.
