Cat grandpa Ferdinand is looking for a new home: tumor on his ear removed
“Unfortunately, luck hasn’t been my companion lately, I was found in September last year, completely rotten and unfortunately I didn’t have much on my plate either,” says Ferdinand in a longer text on the animal shelter’s website .
There he spent a long time in the infirmary to get rid of his cat cold.
The cold went away, but an ear problem remained.
The cat's grandfather only has half an ear on the right because a tumor had formed there.
“I survived the operation well and the entire tumor was removed. Unfortunately, these carcinomas tend to spread and so far no metastases have been found in the lungs or the other ear.
However, it may happen that my second ear may also have to be amputated if a tumor starts here too (so keep your fingers crossed),” the post continues.

Cuddly cat grandpa is looking for his last home: he loves to be scratched
Ferdinand is described as a sweet, cuddly and cozy cat who simply wants to enjoy his retirement.
We are looking for an apartment with a balcony, a quiet home without a lot of hustle and bustle, preferably with older people or people where it doesn't have to stay alone for long.
His favorite activity is “sitting on your lap 24/7 and being cuddled.” Sometimes Ferdinand is also really cheeky.
If the carers don't pick him up when he wants to, "I'm happy to climb from the scratching post onto their back."

The cat grandpa prefers a home as a solitary prince and does not value the company of other cats.
Due to Ferdinand's age, his kidneys are no longer the best.
According to the vet, it wouldn't hurt him to eat kidney food.
“But I don’t let a vet like that tell me anything, I’m a gourmet.
“I always like to have a selection of different types of cat food,” it continues.
Anyone who wants to give Ferdinand a final home should fill out the animal shelter's interest form.
