Share a car instead of buying it: That's car sharing.

The test car sharing project in Schöngeising with an electric vehicle failed.
Kottgeisering - As in Schöngeising, the operator has now removed the rental car from the location in front of the municipal office.
Mayor Andreas Folger (civil association) announced this to the local council.
Actual use over the test period, which was extended to two years, would not have been sufficient to make the small car economically viable.
“Instead of the expected increase in demand over time, there has recently been a sharp drop in demand.
In addition to the community, only one customer recently booked the car,” said the mayor.
On top of that, costly damage to the battery storage occurred in December.
It is assumed that the low usage combined with the cold were the cause.
However, the charging station in the parking lot in front of the town hall where the car was parked will remain.
