The student is said to have injured a man in the neck with a broken bottle.

The victim came within a whisker of death.

Markt Indersdorf/Munich – An act of violence at the S-Bahn station in Markt Indersdorf caused horror among the population a year ago.

A then 17-year-old student inflicted life-threatening injuries on a 21-year-old during an argument around 1 a.m.

The perpetrator was caught and taken into custody.

The student is now being tried before the Munich II Regional Court - but completely behind closed doors.

Sitting in the dock with him is a spy of the same age.

However, he is at large.

He was the first to strike a year ago.

Then the main defendant attacked the 21-year-old's neck with a broken bottle.

As reported, he hit the victim just an inch from the carotid artery.

Later he beat him up.

The man from Rohrbach (Pfaffenhofen ad Ilm district) could have bled to death in a matter of seconds.

But the cut that was inflicted also posed an abstract threat to life.

The man was lucky.

A nurse rushed to the victim's aid

A nurse who happened to be there came to his aid.

His friend, who was uninjured, called the rescue team.

The police, BRK and the Indersdorf fire department arrived.

The latter illuminated the sports field one kilometer away for the rescue helicopter.

It ended up there too, but ultimately wasn't needed because the victim could be taken to the Amperklinikum in Dachau with the Sanka.

The residents may also have been woken up by a police helicopter circling over Indersdorf in search of the perpetrators.

In fact, the 17-year-old student, against whom the suspicion quickly became clear, was located a short time later near the S-Bahn station.

Two further investigations were already underway against him at that time.

The Spezl is not a blank slate either.

He has to answer for another violent crime.

It is unknown whether the two men confessed in the proceedings at the Munich II Regional Court.

Because both defendants were minors at the time of the crime, the entire trial did not have to be carried out in public.

The victim, who was on the way home from a carnival event on the evening of the crime, is physically well again.

However, the fact that the 21-year-old came within a whisker of death took a psychological toll on him.

He joined the proceedings as a co-plaintiff.

The trial was originally scheduled to expire on March 7th.

The verdict could come as early as tomorrow, Thursday.
