In the tenth film of the ZDF crime series “The Dead of Salzburg” a familiar face was once again missing.

Why did the Russmeyer and Mur team only investigate as two people again?

Salzburg – On Wednesday (February 21st) ZDF showed the tenth film in the Austrian crime film series “The Dead of Salzburg”.

In “Sweet Gift” a chauffeur is murdered by a poisoned Mozartkugel.

Irene Russmeyer (Fanny Krausz, 34) from the Salzburg police and the chief inspector Hubert Mur (Michael Fitz, 65) have to find out who is behind the murder - but this time a former investigator is not at their side.

ZDF crime film series “The Dead of Salzburg” without Major Peter Palfinger

Major Peter Palfinger was already sent to treatment in the previous film, “Schattenspiel”.

An approximately 40-second final scene with the actor was cut out for broadcast.

The major didn't return for the tenth crime film either.

The reason: Actor Florian Teichtmeister (44) has been convicted in the meantime.

ZDF viewers should slowly get used to having to say goodbye to a criminal investigator.

The last episode of Dortmund's “Tatort” with investigator Jan Pawlak (played by Rick Okon, 34) was recently broadcast.
