A very violent attack in a hospital environment.
On Wednesday, a police officer who came to guard a detainee hospitalized at the North Hospital of Marseille was brutally attacked by a man who recognized his uniform.
The events occurred around 10 p.m.
According to a police source, the agent presented himself at the emergency reception of the hospital establishment asking the reception agent where the patient whose room he was supposed to monitor was located.
It was there that he was violently hit from behind and without any reason by an individual determined to fight.
The attacker taken into custody
The officer was punched and kicked several times, with the attacker trying to knock him down, and was saved by the intervention of firefighters and medics who helped to subdue the individual.
When questioned, the accused simply indicated that he had attacked the police officer
“for his uniform”
.
Aged 25, he was taken into police custody.
Injured in the eye and suffering from several bruises, the attacked police officer was prescribed three days of total incapacity for work (ITT).
