After the unexpected rise of Alberto Fernández in the ranking of political images, as a result of his initial performance at the start of the Covid pandemic,
Horacio Rodríguez Larreta
inherited that statistical medal and for long months appeared as the leader best viewed by society.
Times changed.
After his harsh defeat in the presidential PASO, a
new national survey now places the former head of Government in last place
.
And more: another emblem of moderation, his radical ally
Martín Lousteau
, who made a good election but also lost in the Primary (in his case Buenos Aires), accompanies him at the bottom of the table.
The survey that brings these news is from
Fixer
, a firm whose main clients are leaders of Together for Change (such as governors Rogelio Frigerio and Ignacio Torres, and deputy Diego Santilli) and also works for the private world.
Between February 10 and 14, the pollster conducted a national survey of
1,511 cases
.
The results were presented with +/- 3% margin of error.
The table of images includes a dozen well-known politicians: four government officials/officials and eight opponents. And the first major division can be made precisely based on party origin: the libertarians + an ally of the PRO lead, and the rest are below.
The 6 worst
As explained, Larreta and Lousteau appear at the bottom of the table.
The
ranking was put together according to what is known as "image differential"
: the number that results from subtracting the positive image from the negative one.
The discredit of Argentine politics is reflected there.
All those evaluated, even the leaders, have a negative balance
.
They gather more rejection than support.
In the case of Larreta, his balance is very bad: - 51 points, for 13% positive image and 64% negative. Lousteau has the same support (13%), but less rejection (55%), leaving his differential at -42.
Then, with a also very weak balance, come
Sergio Massa and Miguel Angel Pichetto
.
The former presidential candidate ends with
-34
, the product of 58% negative and 24% positive.
The head of the We Do block has
- 32
balance, for - 51% and + 19%.
Two leaders close to Milei are doing a little better.
One is
Mauricio Macri
and the other
Ricardo López Murphy
.
The former president combines 31% positive and 56% negative (
-25%
balance) and the deputy, + 26% and -50% (
-24
% balance).
His present is very different.
Macri, it is assumed, will meet these days with the President to see if they seal the PRO-LLA alliance.
The deputy, on the other hand, comes from a very difficult crossing with Milei, after having been one of his first allies.
The 6 best
The top part of the table is dominated by the four evaluated officials.
With one detail: as in other rankings of this type,
the best is not Milei
.
The President finishes fourth, with
-6
balance, with a 45% positive image and 51% a negative one.
He is surpassed by vice Victoria Villarruel (- 2 balance, + 47% and - 49%), Minister Guillermo Francos (also - 2 balance, but with + 37% and - 39%) and Minister Patricia Bullrich (- 3 , with + 47% and - 50%).
Below are the deputy
Diego Santilli
(
- 13
points balance, with 27% in favor and 40% against) and former president
Cristina Kirchner
(
- 24 points
balance, with + 32% and - 56%).
