Dozens of farmers in tractors marched Thursday to the Oise prefecture in Beauvais and the sub-prefectures in Compiègne and Senlis, at the initiative of the FDSEA union to
“keep up the pressure”
before the Agricultural Show which opens Saturday.
At midday, the Oise prefecture counted around 80 tractors in front of its premises in Beauvais, 40 in front of the sub-prefecture in Senlis, 20 in Compiègne.
Delegations of farmers were received
“in audience at the prefecture and in the sub-prefectures”
, the prefecture told AFP.
These meetings follow four meetings held previously, dedicated to administrative simplification which took place under the authority of the prefect of Oise, specified the same source.
According to the FDSEA, some 400 farmers mobilized from 11:00 a.m. for snail operations on several roads in the department.
Income, compliance with regulations for imported products, reduction of controls:
“We are going to take up the grievances that have been raised by the FNSEA
,” indicated Linda Monnier, director of the FDSEA of Oise before the meeting at the prefecture in Beauvais.
“We are waiting for the intervention of the president (Emmanuel Macron) because what Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced does not satisfy us
,” added Ms. Monnier.
