Highlights: The couple moved to the spacious penthouse (180 square meters + 150 square meters balcony) from a nearby neighborhood. Interior designer Shevi Mizrahi was entrusted with the design and planning. The penthouse originally consisted of five rooms. One of them was canceled in favor of a large and spacious family corner for the grandchildren who often visit the grandparents. Together with the textile designer Ella Shlamov from Ella décor, a special shade was chosen with a French scroll net that provides the space with a pleasant shade and at the same time a transparent element.

In this charming penthouse in the museum project in Jerusalem lives a couple of pensioners in their 70s.

The couple moved to the spacious penthouse (180 square meters + 150 square meters balcony) from a nearby neighborhood, and interior designer Shevi Mizrahi was entrusted with the design and planning.

As a couple that loves color, they asked the designer for a solid house on the one hand and a colorful house on the other.

When the designer knew how to turn the lighting into a soft and delicate colored jewel in the space.

The penthouse originally consisted of five rooms.

One of them was canceled in favor of a large and spacious family corner for the grandchildren who often visit the grandparents.

Meanwhile, the internal design of the various functions has also changed completely.

Shabi further explains: "When entering the house, the foyer space opens up in front of us. Its walls, including the entrance and bedroom doors, are clad in light woodwork, which makes the space clean and airy. The cladding also continues to the kitchen, for which Shabi chose the same light shade of the cladding in the public space. More on the entrance A CUSTOM MADE metal library was designed, which is a dominant sculptural element in the space, and near it is a hidden door that leads to the parents' suite."

To the right of the entrance is the kitchen.

The fronts of the kitchen are rounded at the top, a motif that connects to the rounded line of the marble.

The kitchen is a soft Sahara shade.

In light of the owner of the house's love for colors, and the color green in particular, I chose a variety of motifs in green: the natural green granite marble.

The aluminum frame of the showcases next to the kitchen are also green, as well as an alcove that serves as a work surface.

The kitchen is surrounded by showcases that make staying in it pleasant.

Together with the textile designer Ella Shlamov from Ella décor, a special shade was chosen with a French scroll net that provides the space with a pleasant shade and at the same time a transparent element that allows the natural light to penetrate and thereby also the Jerusalem landscape.

To the left of the foyer is the dining area.

The background to this corner is a blackened oak veneer wall covering, which continues to the living room.

The TV screen and air conditioning systems were integrated into it.

Between the dining area and the foyer is a covered door that leads to the guest room and bathroom, as well as a storage cabinet for hospitality utensils.

For the dining area, colorful lighting fixtures were chosen that add luxurious playfulness to the space, and are made of shiny handmade ceramics.

In the living room there is a succession of showcases shaded by a refined incendiary curtain, also designed by Ella Shlomov from ELLA DECOR.

The seating arrangements in the living room are made of leather with a soft off-white sofa and two leather armchairs next to it.

Two photos were chosen in which the green motif returns, and a metal and wood library, whose role is to demarcate the living room.

From the living room you enter through the foyer straight into the family corner.

This corner is covered with a refined textile wallpaper, which matches the incendiary curtain.

Through the foyer you enter the master bedroom, rich in textiles, whose walls are all wrapped in textile wallpaper, which provides a pleasant warmth.

To the left of the space was designed a 7-square-meter carpentry closet that contains a make-up corner and a screen. From the closet is attached an incendiary curtain that connects to a textile wallpaper that covers the entire room. Here, too, the green motif returns through the colors of the bed and dressers. An abundance of textiles adorns the bed with layers of bedding, A bed cover and decorative pillows, which give the final touch to this space.

The balcony is spacious with several diverse seating areas, which allow those sitting on it to enjoy the powerful Jerusalem view.

Pleasant and colorful decorative pillows from ELLA DECOR give interest and color in the outdoor space.

Also on the balcony is a rich outdoor kitchen that completes the experience.
