Kulmbach - On Wednesday afternoon, February 21st, a tractor-trailer lost countless beer crates on an entrance to Autobahn 70 in the Upper Franconian district of Kulmbach.
The street was littered with broken glass and beer, leading to hours of cleanup, police said.
Accident in Upper Franconia: beer crates spread across the road
The load of beer crates had started moving in the curve to the highway and had broken through the right side of the trailer.
Pallets of them fell onto the road, with broken glass and beer spilling blocking the driveway for several hours.
Before the damaged tractor-trailer could be removed, the remaining boxes, which were in a precariously tilted position, had to be unloaded.
The truck had lost a lot of boxes on the driveway to the highway.

Load inadequately secured: beer crates fall on the highway - major damage
An inspection of the driver and the tractor-trailer revealed that the load was inadequately secured.
However, there were no signs of excessive speed.
The 50-year-old driver was fined.
The damage caused amounts to around 35,000 euros, according to the police.
