The Ardennes, Marne, Meuse, Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Hautes-Pyrénées were added this Thursday morning to the list of departments placed in orange by Météo France, due to the arrival of storm Louis.
This is five more than in the alert on Wednesday afternoon.

The storm "will deepen this Thursday afternoon in the English Channel and then the North Sea", specifies the organization in its bulletin published at 6 a.m., referring to a "marked" episode of rain but which "does not seem exceptional".
“In its wake, heavy rains accompanied by violent gusts will occur over a large northern half of the country, more particularly in the departments placed on orange alert.
These violent gusts will also occur at the foot of the Pyrenees,” it is also indicated.
Furthermore, “the light rains affecting the departments of Deux-Sèvres and Vendée will intensify during the morning of this Thursday and until mid-afternoon.
The precipitation will then take on the character of showers.”
