Attack on Route 1: One person was killed and 8 were wounded by gunfire near Ma'am Adumim/according to Section 27 A of the Copyright Law, documentation of MDA operations
The three terrorists who carried out the shooting attack on Highway 1 near Ma'ale Adumim this morning (Thursday) are Palestinians residents of Bethlehem and the area.
The Shin Bet announced that the terrorists are Muhammad Zuahara, 26 years old, and his brother Adam Zuahara, 31 years old, residents of the Tamra neighborhood in Bethlehem, and Ahmed Aluhash, 31 years old, a resident of the town of Zaatra in the area. The terrorist Adam Zuahara was imprisoned in the past on grounds of illegal stay.

The investigation of the attack reveals that the three arrived at the scene in two vehicles and fired from M-16 and Carlo automatic weapons.
Two terrorists were neutralized by civilians and the security forces on the spot, the third was neutralized by the security forces after trying to escape from the scene.
One civilian was killed in the attack and 8 others were injured, 2 of them in a serious condition.
One of the citizens who neutralized the terrorists is Hanania ben Shimon, an armored reservist from Ma'ale Adumim, who finished several months of fighting in Gaza.
He was on the way with his mother to Jerusalem, rowed for contact and was seriously injured in the exchange of fire.
His father, Eric, told Walla: "He took several bullets. A great hero. He killed one of the terrorists."

Benny Kashriel, the mayor of Ma'ale Adumim, arrived at the scene of the attack and said that "there is a plan to expand the checkpoint, but unfortunately, despite all our requests, nothing has been done on this issue. We were constantly alerted. In our city, vigilance is very high, and it is under our control. But this road is a road between Urban, which comes from Jerusalem towards the Dead Sea. It is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
