It's probably not just the athletes at TSV Gernlinden who have been waiting for this news: From March 1st, the club restaurant at the sports field will open again.
Gernlinden – Two brothers with gastronomy experience want to make the restaurant what it once was: a meeting place not only for athletes, but for all Gernlinden residents.
German cuisine is offered.
Nicholas and Tim Lasher are the new hosts, Nicholas (24) is a trained chef, Tim (22) is a restaurant specialist.
You can look back on some gastronomic experience – in established establishments in Munich.
Nicholas Lasher studied at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, his brother at the Hilton.
Both have always dreamed of becoming self-employed one day.

“We are happy to have found a trained chef,” says TSV President Gabriele Plutka.
They want to build on the times “when our club restaurant was the social center not only of our club life, but also for the population of Gernlinden”.
The Lasher brothers initially received a one-year lease from the board.
“If things go well, we could extend the contract to three years after six months,” explains TSV treasurer Hubert Plutka.
After the restaurant was recently renovated, the rooms just needed a refresh.
Since the community center is closed, the sports restaurant is currently the only location in Gernlinden - with enough space for larger private celebrations.
In any case, the new tenants are able to manage parties of this size with their staff.
The dining room with hall offers space for up to 100 people, and in summer there is a large terrace.
Bowling alley rounds off the offer
There is also a bowling alley connected to the sports restaurant.
There are still free appointments that can be booked via the club's homepage.
The sports restaurant is open Monday and Tuesday from 5 p.m. and Thursday to Sunday from 11.30 a.m.
Wednesday is a rest day.
