Fabada is not only the most famous legume stew in Asturias, but it is also the easiest to find canned.
Since Litoral's famous advertising campaigns in the nineties, in which an Asturian grandmother tricked her urban family by giving her fabada from a jar, this product has found a place in supermarkets, and the brands that offer it have multiplied.
Which one is closer to real homemade fabada, if there is any?
The person in charge of answering this question is Ángel Palacios, executive chef of the Asturian restaurants Llamber and El Chigre 1769 in Barcelona.
The cook blindly tasted nine brands of the stew and gave his unequivocal opinion on all of them.
If you want to know which one shined and which one sank, watch the video above.
